About Me

Portrait photo of Justin Doromal
I am a doctoral candidate in education policy at the University of Virginia, School of Education and Human Development. I am on the 2020-21 job market.

I study policies and initiatives that promote stability in early childhood education, with a current focus on the providers who serve young children and their families. My research integrates the innovative use of existing datasets as well as data collection through research-policy partnerships to address these aims.

I am a 2020-21 AERA Minority Dissertation Fellow and a 2020 APPAM Equity and Inclusion Student Fellow, I am also a former Institute of Education Sciences pre-doctoral fellow. Prior to graduate school, I was assistant teacher (and later, assistant director) at a franchised, after-school math and reading enrichment program for young children.

I am a member of the Study of Early Education through Partnerships lab. To learn more about our research, our partnerships, and our team, please visit our website. Please also feel free to contact me using the social icons below.
